About Jimmy Wheeler
FOUNDER, S.T.E.V.E.N. PROTECTION
As Executive Director of Security and Safety of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, Jimmy Wheeler oversaw the daily security and safety of over 166 school buildings, nearly 90,000 students, and 10,000 employees.
Officer Wheeler also has extensive experience at event security having served as incident command for such events as sporting events, concerts, corporate parties and the Christmas parade.
From working with local private and charter schools to assess their emergency response plans and security, to supporting schools with the physical presence of a professionally trained school security officer, Officer Wheeler’s twenty-seven years’ experience at the Metropolitan Nashville Police department as a School Resource Supervisor and Lieutenant has equipped him to provide the best service to the Nashville community.
Jimmy is judicious with who he hires for each role, knowing especially that kids watch everything we say and do, and each and every person at a school is in the position of being a mentor.
